801 Restoration Intern This exciting and dynamic position will be working within the natural resources field at New Melones Lake. The successful candidate will gain training, experience and knowledge pertaining to park and natural resources management. This volunteer position is developmental in nature; the candidate will be mentored and guided by Park Rangers and Natural Resource Specialists. The position will involve work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including high temperatures. Some visitor center and office work will also be required. This position will primarily perform work as a part of the park's invasive and quagga mussel prevention program. Due to the work involving extensive public contact, the volunteer must be professional in conduct and appearance as well as personable and helpful. The volunteer will strive to ensure that the park's quagga mussel prevention policies are followed by boaters.
